As we roll into a new year, we’ve been taking a moment to reflect on what’s been a pretty special start for The Forefront.
We opened our doors in June and, honestly, the support, energy, and creativity that’s filled the space over the last six months has exceeded every expectation.
In that time, we’ve hosted 27 events, welcoming incredible voices like Quan Payne, Christie Whitehill, Jaimie van Leeuwen, and Claudio Kirac. We launched our very first Creators Program, supporting 10 startups across consumer products, creative services, sustainable design, and emerging tech. Altogether, 492 people have come through our doors.
We’ve also been lucky to become home to some amazing creative communities, including The Design Kids, Creative Mornings Brisbane, and Creative Lunch Club. Add in event partnerships with Hiatus Beers, 230+ desk and meeting room bookings, and the launch of The Creators Club – and it’s been a big six months.
The space itself has continued to evolve too, with stunning artwork throughout the building by Sofles, Simon Degroot, and Fintan Magee.
To everyone who’s collaborated, partnered, booked a desk, attended an event, or simply shown up – thank you. Your energy and feedback have helped shape what The Forefront is becoming, and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better first year.
